someone.fm does not require an account. Microphone audio is transmitted through LiveKit so you and one matched person can hear each other. We do not record or store your conversations.
Matchmaking uses a temporary anonymous identifier. Queue and match data expire automatically. Your approximate city may be shown to the person you are matched with; your precise location is not requested.
We keep limited anonymous usage information for up to 120 days: call timestamps and duration, two-letter country codes, connection and end status, optional call ratings, reports, whether a session was marked as a test, and public IP addresses. IP addresses are used to investigate abuse and temporarily prevent reported networks from joining new conversations.
If you send feedback, we receive the message and the page it was sent from. Resend delivers that email. PostHog receives anonymous call lifecycle events and coarse country and test labels for product analytics. We do not enable PostHog autocapture, session replay, or person profiles. Vercel, LiveKit, and Upstash may process standard technical data needed to operate the service.
someone.fm does not sell your personal data. For privacy questions, use the feedback option in the menu.
