Terms of Service and EULA

App license

The iOS app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These service terms and community rules apply in addition to that license. You must agree to them before accessing the signed-in app. We may suspend or end access to the service for objectionable content or abusive behavior.

Who can use Someone FM

You must be at least 18 years old. Provide an accurate birthday and do not help someone bypass the age requirement. A display name may be a nickname; impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation is not allowed.

Your account and conversations

The iPhone app uses Sign in with Apple. Protect access to your Apple account and devices. You are responsible for the content and activity you choose to share through your account. The website also has browser-based features that do not require an iPhone app account.

Rings are invitations. Nobody is required to accept one or continue a conversation. Availability indicators and notifications are not guarantees of a response or connection. Do not repeatedly contact someone who has declined or asked you to stop.

Respect other people

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Follow our community rules. Harassment, hateful or threatening behavior, sexual exploitation, scams, spam, impersonation, and unlawful content are prohibited. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or evade blocks and restrictions. Do not record or share another person’s conversation without their permission.

You can report content or another account, block unwanted contact, and hide individual conversation items from your device. We check submitted profile text, photos, notes, Ring comments, and messages for objectionable content before sharing them. See our Privacy Policy for how this safety filtering works.

We review objectionable-content reports within 24 hours. When a report establishes a violation, we remove the offending content from access and suspend the account responsible. Reports are reviewed by a person; reporting someone does not automatically establish a violation. Contact hello@someone.fm if you believe a restriction was a mistake.

Your content and other people’s work

You retain your rights to the content you provide. You give us permission to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate Someone FM and the features you use. For example, your chosen profile information is displayed to other users and a Ring comment is delivered to its recipient.

Only upload or share content you have the right to use. Do not infringe another person’s copyright, privacy, or other rights. Third-party books, film artwork, and music remain the property of their respective owners; their availability through Someone FM does not grant you redistribution rights.

Invitations and rewards

Personal invite codes let us attribute new registrations. They do not currently create a cash balance or entitlement to payment. Any future reward offer would need its own published eligibility and payment terms. See the invitation terms.

Leaving Someone FM

You can stop using the service and request account deletion in Me → Settings → Delete account. A saved request hides your profile and pauses normal access while it is processed. A pending request is not confirmation that your data has already been erased. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Someone FM available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular conversation, or another user’s conduct. Features may change, and outages can happen. Someone FM is not an emergency service or a source of professional advice.

We will update the date on this page when these terms change and provide additional notice where required. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions can be sent to hello@someone.fm.
